Exporting Web of Science (Social Science Citation Index) search results for use in BibTeX databases.
Once you have search results, you need to decide which records you would like
to export.
(i) If you only want to export some of the records on the first page,
click on the box next to the number of those citations that you
are interested in. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page,
and for Step 1 of the Output Records box at the bottom of the screen
choose "Selected Records on Page."
(ii) If you want to export all of the records on the page, then scroll down
to the bottom of the page, and for Step 1 of the Output Records box at
the bottom of the screen choose "All Records on Page."
(iii) If you want to export all of the records within a certain range,
then scroll down to the bottom of the page, and for Step 1 of the
Output Records box at the bottom of the screen choose the last option
and fill in the appropriate record numbers for the range that you are
interested in.
In Step 2 of the Output Records box at the bottom of the screen, you can choose
to export the abstracts in addition to the author, title and source. If you
want to export the abstracts select the appropriate box.
In Step 3 of the Output Records box at the bottom of the screen, select "Save
to BibTex" from the pull down menu, and click the "Save" button. A *.bib file
will be generated for you to save on your computer.
Once this *.bib file has been downloaded, you can use it as you would any other
*.bib file.
