G53.1700:
International Politics: Concepts and Theories
This seminar serves as a graduate level introduction to the field of
International Politics. The goal of the seminar, however, goes well beyond
surveying the field. While you will be encouraged to assess "classic" debates,
the emphasis of the classroom sessions will be on helping you understand some of
the recent, relatively technical, contributions to the literature. In line with
the demands of thoroughly comprehending these contributions, each class will be
devoted to the close examination of a limited number of articles.
