Orientation

Fall Semester Orientation
The Fall Semester Orientation allows our students to learn more about courses that are offered in the coming Fall semester. Our M.A. students have an opportunity to meet with the faculty who teach in the Fall, examine their syllabi, make an informed decision and organize their schedule well before the semester registration is set to begin.

Spring Semester Orientation
The Spring Semester Orientation allows our students to learn more about courses that are offered in the coming Spring semester. Our M.A. students have an opportunity to meet with the faculty who teach in the Spring, examine their syllabi, make an informed decision and organize their schedule well before the semester registration is set to begin.

Workshops

Writing a Research Paper
In this workshop we examine the logical steps on how to write a good research paper. Through a variety of presentations and materials students are informed about the process of writing an excellent academic paper.

Policy Paper Writing Workshop
Whether they work for the government, the private sector, an international organization or for an NGO, many of our MA students become directly involved in policy-design or policy-making. Within the policy-making community, there is a widely accepted form in which studies, papers and reports should be represented and which is deemed to be the most effective way to reach the targeted audience.  Our objective in this workshop is to provide support for policy paper writing and to train our MA students to communicate their ideas and research in the appropriate format.

Career Development Workshop
In addition to the activities of the Wasserman Career Center, our Career Development Workshop is designed to provide additional career development support for our MA students at this critical juncture in their careers. The Career development Workshops provides further training on developing and maintaining the skills needed by an MA student to succeed in today’s workplace.  Guest speakers include experts from the field of Career Development, Human Resources, Resume Experts, Interview Training and more.
